What Are Tasks?
Tasks are the central element of work organization in Intum. Each task describes a specific thing to do — from a simple reminder to a complex project with subtasks, deadlines, and attachments.
Creating a Task
To create a new task:
- Go to the Tasks module
- Click the + button
- Enter a title and optionally a description in the Markdown editor
- Assign a responsible person, team, project, and status
- Set the priority and deadline
Key Fields
- Title — task name (required)
- Content — description in the Markdown editor with support for images and attachments
- Status — stage of completion (e.g., New, In Progress, To Verify, Closed)
- Priority — from -1 (low) to 3 (critical)
- Responsible person — user or group responsible for execution
- Team — team assigned to the task
- Project — project under which the task is being carried out
- Deadline — task completion deadline
- Start date — planned start of work
- Estimated hours — how much time is anticipated for completion
- Customer — link to a CRM customer
Organizing Tasks
Subtasks
Each task can have subtasks — simply specify a parent task when creating one. This allows you to build a task hierarchy.
Task Relationships
Tasks can be linked to each other bidirectionally. The task view shows a list of related tasks with the ability to quickly navigate to them.
Task Lists (Tasklists)
Tasks can be grouped into lists — e.g., “Sprint 1,” “Backlog,” “To Discuss.” A single task can belong to multiple lists.
Scope and Numbering
Each task receives a unique identifier in the format SCOPE-NR (e.g., PROJ-42). You define the scope at the project level — it makes finding tasks easier.
Views
- List — classic view with filtering and sorting
- Kanban — boards with status columns, drag-and-drop to change status
- Table — tabular view with multiple columns
Filtering and Search
Tasks can be filtered by:
Comments and Discussion
A comments section is available under each task. Comments support Markdown, attachments, and @mentions. A new comment generates a notification for assigned people.
Attachments
Files can be added to a task — both in the content (inline) and as separate attachments. Files are stored in the cloud with secure access via signed URLs.
Time Tracking
Time spent on a task can be recorded (workinfo). Estimated hours allow comparing the plan with actual time spent.
Recurring Tasks
A task can be set as recurring — the system automatically creates new instances according to a set schedule.
