Each task can have one responsible person (the “Assigned to” field). You can assign to:

Additionally, a task can be assigned to:

How to Assign a Task

When Creating

  1. Click + (New Task)
  2. In the Assigned to field, type a name or group/team name
  3. The system suggests matching results
  4. Select a person, group, or team
  5. Save the task

If you don’t select a responsible person, the task inherits one from the project or team (if set).

Quick Change from the Task List

On the list or in the task view, click on the responsible field — a selection list will appear. The change is saved automatically without opening the edit form.

Bulk Change

  1. Select multiple tasks on the list (checkboxes)
  2. A bulk options bar will appear
  3. Choose Assigned to and select a person
  4. The change will be applied to all selected tasks

Bulk options also work for: team, department, status, client, project, and tags.

Notifications

When you assign a task to someone, the system automatically sends a notification:

  • New task - the responsible person receives an assignment notification
  • Responsible change - the new person receives an update notification
  • Favorites - people who added the task to favorites also receive change notifications

Note: Notifications are not sent to groups — only to individual users.

Task Tracking (Favorites)

If you want to receive notifications about a task you’re not assigned to — add it to Favorites. This way you’ll be informed about every change.

The responsible person is automatically added to the task’s watchers.

Change History

Every assignment change is recorded in the task history. You can check who changed the responsible person and when in the activity tab.
