## Notifications

The notification system informs users about important events in real time.

## Notification Types

- **Tasks** — task creation, editing, deletion, new task comments
- **Organize** — leave requests, leave approvals, new comments and assignments
- **Mail** — email updates
- **System** — notifications about migrations and system changes

## How Do They Work?

- The bell icon in the header shows the **number of unread** notifications
- Clicking it opens the notification center with a list of recent events
- Notifications can be marked as read individually or all at once
- Repeated notifications about the same object (e.g., multiple edits to the same task) are **grouped** — instead of multiple entries, a single entry with a counter is displayed

## Preferences

In the user profile you can configure:

- Enable/disable notifications
- Separate email address for notifications
- Phone number for SMS notifications (with verification)
- Task notification preferences

## Retention

Notifications older than **3 months** are automatically deleted. The notification center shows notifications from the last month and all unread ones.
